We have all watched, read, or listened to something we have enjoyed and then...nothing. There is a void, a gap, a screaming emptiness that we try to fill with surfing the web for more: just how old is that actress? When does the next book in the series come out? I wonder what that singer is like in real life. And then, you find it. The scathing review that tarnishes your afterglow. You thought it was a great book, but evidently the writing was elementary at best and the character development lackluster and predictable. You enjoyed the Netflix series, but apparently it looked low budget and the writing was so obviously trying to send a socially aware message it was laughable. Oh. Well. That puts a damper on things. Not anymore! Welcome to A Glowing Review, where I bask in the afterglow with you, acknowledge the light that creates those shadows everyone is too focused on, and fish for the really good stuff you can only find in a deep dive for hidden treasure.
